Special Ceremonies

Unitarians can offer special services to celebrate birth and naming, marriage and partnership, or a life that has ended – and you should feel free to approach any of the congregations, or contact us, to discuss your needs.

The SUA is the authorising body for celebrants who wish to undertake a Unitarian wedding in Scotland. We liaise with the Registrar General for Scotland in terms of ensuring that any Unitarian wedding ceremony is undertaken by an authorised celebrant. The SUA secretary can assist the intending couple to get in touch with such a celebrant.

You are warmly invited to attend Sunday services at our churches in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow, where our Community supports the pursuit of individual spirituality within communities of diverse beliefs.

Unitarians are not bound by religious rules and customs so such services are arranged, as far as possible, to express the beliefs and to meet the needs of those most closely involved.
